Backflush the group head weekly using the blind basket to remove coffee oils. Soak the basket and portafilter monthly in hot water with espresso cleaner. Descale the boiler every 3–6 months depending on water hardness. The brass boiler will develop a patina over time—this is normal and part of the character. Use filtered water to extend component life.
